Cain - Band Phoenix Concert reviews
The Techician the Fun Beards
He started with instrumental numbers, then brought on a blues singer, Jimmy Hall. Jeff Beck came on first, the bass player Rhonda Smith is really cool. The guitar playing was awesome as to be expected. I was wondering how I got inexpensive first row seats, always a reason: because I was 8 feet from an armoire of massive woofers. The Beards played second, and they were all fun as always. Fortunately Cain - Band was mixed differently so the drums were fine. The Beards got people up on their feet immediately, right on the money. Beck only played with them 1 or 2 songs if I recall, which I thought was odd. I would've been nice to see more collaboration. Cain - Band did a long encore as well. But that has to do with getting crappy seats at this venue, rather than the performance. Didn't really care for it. Each beat felt like getting pounded in the sternum, worsened by the sound mixing which over-emphasizing the cement-mixer drums. Overall highly recommended, lots of fun.
